About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6+ billing professionals and accountants, managing hiring, performance management, and professional development.
- Manage the end-to-end global billing process to ensure invoices are accurate and reflect documented contract terms.
- Drive process optimization by partnering with IT, Customer Success, and Finance to resolve billing issues and implement improvements.
- Mitigate financial risk by overseeing audits, adjustments, and enforcing departmental workflow recommendations.
- Resolve complex and escalated billing issues for key customer accounts through detailed analysis and effective communication.
- Oversee routine reporting requirements, including detailed reviews of reconciliations and cyclical activity.
- Assist IT with system conversions and new client implementations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience in billing operations.
- 1-3 years of experience in people management, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) for managing large datasets.
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle financial systems and Salesforce CRM.
- Prior experience managing large-scale billing functions within a global organization.
