Manager, A&R

Responsibilities

• Find and acquire recording artists, songs, and producers to expand the AWAL roster
• Lead artist development efforts and provide creative direction on artist material
• Attend live shows, showcases, and concerts to identify emerging talent
• Propose new artists and search for new songs for existing talent
• Coordinate pre-production, production, mixing, and mastering processes
• Manage recording budgets and ensure projects stay within agreed timelines
• Find suitable producers and recording studios for assigned projects
• Build and maintain relationships with industry insiders, including managers, agents, and attorneys
• Collaborate with marketing, publicity, and sales departments to execute post-recording strategies

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the music or entertainment industry
• Demonstrated track record of discovering and signing emerging talent
• Deep knowledge of the record production and release lifecycle
• Experience working with artists across a variety of musical genres
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
