Manager, A&R

Responsibilities

• Find and acquire new recording artists, songs, and producers
• Lead artist development efforts across all musical genres
• Attend live shows, showcases, and concerts to scout emerging talent
• Provide creative input and direction on artist material
• Coordinate pre-production, production, mixing, and mastering processes
• Find suitable producers and recording studios for assigned projects
• Plan and manage recording budgets, ensuring projects stay on schedule
• Evaluate recording and mixing progress for AWAL artists
• Build and maintain relationships with industry insiders, including managers, agents, and attorneys
• Collaborate with marketing, publicity, and sales departments on post-production follow-up

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the music or entertainment industry
• Proven track record of discovering and signing emerging talent
• Deep knowledge of record production and release cycles
• Experience working with artists across a variety of genres
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
