Manager 5, Strategic Sourcing

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for capital equipment portfolios, including wafer fabrication and HDD/SSD manufacturing equipment.
• Lead cross-functional teams in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution for high-value capital investments.
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization through strategic supplier partnerships and innovative commercial models.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Tier-1 OEMs and equipment suppliers in the semiconductor and storage industries.
• Negotiate complex multi-million-dollar capital equipment agreements covering pricing, payment terms, warranty, and service.
• Implement robust supplier performance management systems to track quality, delivery, and technical support.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams on capital planning and equipment specifications.
• Lead and mentor sourcing team members to foster professional development and category expertise.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience.
• 5+ years of experience specifically in capital equipment for semiconductor, HDD, or related high-tech manufacturing.
• Proven track record of negotiating $50M+ capital equipment deals with major OEMs.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, or Coupa.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including cost modeling and should-cost analysis.
• Ability to travel 20-30% domestically and internationally to supplier sites and manufacturing facilities.
