About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning in management, marketing, or entrepreneurship
- Prepare and submit syllabi in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, including the use of instructional technology
- Modify instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students within a correctional environment
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student information
Requirements
- Master's degree in management, business, marketing, or a related field, OR a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the specific content area
- Ability to pass a DRC background check
- Ability to teach in a face-to-face classroom environment within a correctional institution
- Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a community college environment
- Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience teaching Microsoft Office Applications
