About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning in management, marketing, or entrepreneurship
  • Prepare and submit syllabi in accordance with department and divisional policies
  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, including the use of instructional technology
  • Modify instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students within a correctional environment
  • Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

  • Master's degree in management, business, marketing, or a related field, OR a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the specific content area
  • Ability to pass a DRC background check
  • Ability to teach in a face-to-face classroom environment within a correctional institution
  • Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a community college environment
  • Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience
  • Experience teaching Microsoft Office Applications
