Management Company Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle
• Manage consolidated quarterly financial reporting including financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage partnership and investment accounting workflows, including maintenance of partner capital ledgers
• Collaborate with the Tax department to provide financial information for partnership and partner level tax reporting
• Present quarterly financial results and partner capital ledgers to leadership and external parties
• Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
• Interact with departments including Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, and Tax
• Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance degree
• 5 - 8 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
• Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP
• Professional certification (CPA or equivalent)
• Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 public accounting experience
• Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting
• Proficiency in Excel and G/L reporting experience
• Strong understanding of industry accounting practices
• Project management skills
