About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach curriculum developed by the department for face-to-face courses
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
  • Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department policies
  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and use instructional technology
  • Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
  • Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information

Requirements

  • Master's degree in management, business, marketing, or a related field
  • Or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the content area
  • Must reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky to comply with tax and benefit requirements
  • Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
  • Ability to teach in a physical classroom environment at the downtown Dayton campus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work in a culturally diverse community
