Management Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow analysis
• Perform month-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments, and provisions
• Complete variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Prepare weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts and monitor actuals
• Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts
• Act as a finance point of contact for operational and commercial teams
• Ensure compliance with Group financial policies and internal controls
• Maintain and optimise Business Central ERP
• Support development of automated reporting using Power Query

Requirements

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a management accounting role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP)
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Business Central
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries
• Knowledge of Power Query, Jet Reports, or Odata
• Knowledge of CIS and subcontractor accounting
