Management Accountant

Responsibilities

• Accounting of Fixed Asset and Leasing functions
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and posting journals
• Investigation and explanation of management account variances
• Reconciling and pre-empting issues pre and post month end
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Continuous improvement of current procedures
• Maximising revenue by investigating unhired assets
• Preparation of cash flow forecasts
• Assisting with group reporting packs and external audits
• Assisting with annual budgeting and regular forecasts
• Developing and mentoring Finance team members
• Ad hoc reporting for senior management

Requirements

• Fully or part Qualified Accountant
• Experience in management accounts production and process implementation
• Experience in accounts preparation (journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, income deferral)
• Experience working in a busy environment with strong attention to detail
• Commercial awareness and proactive problem solving
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups) and MS Word proficiency
• Effective communication skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
