Managed Services Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and lifecycle management of Business Support Systems (BSS) services for telecom operators.
• Manage and grow on-site transformation programs, including budget, business planning, and resource forecasting.
• Ensure overall accountability for application operations, hosting services, maintenance, and change management.
• Establish operational processes to meet KPIs and SLAs while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Manage customer expectations and build credible relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
• Oversee cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, providing guidance and mentorship to onshore and offshore staff.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives regarding strategic roadmaps and business transformation.
• Drive profitability by securing budgets, managing timelines, and expanding the scope of services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Program or Project management specifically within BSS transformation programs.
• 5+ years of experience in Managed Services, Production Operations, and Service Delivery.
• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role within the telecommunications industry.
• N1 Japanese proficiency and business-level English communication skills.
• University degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in team environments, and travel as required.
• Flexibility to work overtime to manage maintenance windows or unexpected high-incident periods.
