Responsibilities
- Conduct imaging in accordance with Atria safety protocols, policies, and procedures
- Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety
- Assume responsibility for the safety of the patient during the imaging and communicate in a manner appropriate to the patient’s ability to understand
- Refer specific diagnostic, treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional
- Perform other imaging modalities such as MRI Focus and CT as needed
Requirements
- Vocational or Technical School Diploma
- Current New York State License
- Current ARRT registration
- 2+ years’ experience as a Radiation Technologist for DEXA Mammography
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple modality certification (Dexa / CT)
- Experience with other modalities
