Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and diagnostic mammograms to ensure high-quality imaging
• Work closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide expert technical and clinical support
• Manage quality assurance, staff training, and service development
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and best practices
• Offer reassurance and support to patients throughout the imaging process

Requirements

• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Postgraduate qualification in Mammography (e.g., PGCert)
• Extensive experience in screening and symptomatic mammography
• Strong understanding of breast imaging techniques and protocols
• Previous experience in leadership or senior mammography roles
• Excellent communication and team management skills
