Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammographic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with radiologists to interpret imaging results
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to the quality assurance programme
• Educate patients about the mammography process and provide support during examinations
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff and students
• Participate in audits and continuous professional development

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
• Experience in abdomen and pelvic scans
• Proficiency in using ultrasound machines and associated software
• HCPC registration and/or Case Accreditation
• Minimum of 1 year of UK experience as a sonographer in both NHS and private sectors
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
