Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of mammographic examinations, including screening and diagnostic procedures
• Operate specialized mammography equipment
• Ensure patient comfort and safety
• Provide accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of care
• Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to service improvement

Requirements

• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
• Current HCPC registration
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mammographer
• Proficiency in advanced mammography equipment and techniques
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and breast imaging protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Mammography
• Experience at Band 8a level
