Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of mammographic procedures to support breast cancer screening and diagnosis
• Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality images
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to radiation safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
• Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain imaging standards

Requirements

• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
• Current registration with the HCPC
• Significant experience in mammography, preferably at Band 6 level
• Proficiency in operating mammography equipment
• Strong knowledge of breast imaging protocols and radiation safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
