Malay Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into text format
• Follow project-specific guidelines regarding formatting, punctuation, and grammar
• Adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and completeness
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity
• Handle confidential information with strict discretion and professionalism
• Report technical issues and suggest process improvements to enhance quality

Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Malay (ms_my)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided)
• Ability to commute to the Glendale, CA office (this is an on-site position)
• Ability to pass a language assessment test
• Minimum age of 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications

• Typing speed of 40 WPM in Malay or higher
• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or related fields
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Experience working with various accents and dialects
