Malay Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into text format.
• Follow project-specific guidelines regarding formatting, punctuation, and grammar.
• Adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies.
• Review and proofread transcripts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity.
• Handle confidential information with strict discretion and adhere to privacy guidelines.
• Report technical issues or process improvement opportunities to the appropriate channels.

Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Malay (ms_my).
• Completion of Upper Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in Thailand.
• Minimum age of 18 years or older.
• Ability to commute to the on-site office in Bangkok, Thailand.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to pass a language assessment test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typing speed of 40 WPM in Malay (ms_my) or higher.
• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or related fields.
• Strong research abilities for verifying the spelling of names, locations, and products.
