Major Projects Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality mechanical designs and specifications meeting client requirements and briefs
• Undertake and lead professional services in connection with mechanical design for allocated projects
• Provide high level technical advice in mechanical building services engineering
• Represent mechanical engineering in project design meetings and establish solutions
• Comply with relevant building codes, regulations, industry standards, and Kier Design standards
• Promote and implement sustainable design solutions and innovative proposals
• Implement initiatives such as BIM
• Identify and resolve technical and logistical challenges during design and construction phases

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Membership of CIBSE or IET
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards becoming chartered
• Proven experience in mechanical building services engineering
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
• Experience in quality procedures and document control in engineering design
• Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
