Major Item Repairman MIR

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth system knowledge and troubleshooting for complex Patriot missile system Major End Items (MEI) electronic and mechanical problems
• Perform depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup, and repair for PATRIOT Weapon System MEIs
• Install authorized third echelon modifications and oversee refurbishment and modification processes
• Utilize system diagnostics, built-in test (BITE), software, and external test equipment to isolate system faults
• Monitor work performed by subordinates to ensure it meets established quality standards
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) programs and assist in enforcing safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting and repairing the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems
• Experience performing direct maintenance on ECS, RS, and LS
• Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course (e.g., MOS 27X/34S/94S/916A/918D) or equivalent
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a Saudi Arabia work Visa

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience
• Experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures and the Patriot refurbishment/modification process
• Experience with Contractor Logistics Support and International Patriot FMS Programs
• Experience living and working in an overseas location
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project
