Major Gift Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects to secure significant philanthropic support.
• Partner with academic deans and institutional leaders to design and execute integrated major gift strategies.
• Conduct 12–15 substantive personal visits per month with alumni, donors, and prospects.
• Generate new leads and qualify gift prospects through research, faculty networks, and prospect tracking tools.
• Create targeted donor proposals and execute stewardship strategies for new and existing gifts.
• Collaborate with University Relations to identify mid-level donors for gift upgrades.
• Maintain accurate donor and prospect information within the CRM system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 to 7 years of direct fundraising experience.
• Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with constituent relations software such as Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM.
• Active Driver’s License.
