Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as assigned, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
• Inspect property and buildings for damage and report findings to management
• Maintain daily cleanliness of the surrounding property, including debris removal and seasonal snow/ice management
• Comply with OH&S Act and Regulations and follow all health and safety policies
• Monitor and report any concerns regarding health standards and physical property maintenance
• Work cooperatively with staff from various departments to ensure operational effectiveness

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School Diploma
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's license with a satisfactory driver's abstract
• Ability to provide a background check with vulnerable sector screening
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Minimum of one year of prior related maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional training in Facility Services
• Knowledge of building systems
• Valid First Aid certification or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
