About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, adjust, and make minor repairs of building hardware, furniture, shelving, and equipment
  • Replace broken window and door glass and repair windows and sash
  • Perform minor repairs to masonry, woodwork, flooring, walls, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems
  • Conduct visual inspections of public buildings, structures, and equipment to assess for defects or hazards
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of observable conditions
  • Operate a motor vehicle to travel between various work sites

Requirements

  • Three years of full-time experience as a mechanic, journeyperson, or helper in electrical, mechanical, or construction/maintenance trades
  • OR two years of experience plus sufficient vocational training or education in relevant trades
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
