About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform general interior and exterior repairs and maintenance for all University buildings
- Respond to work orders assigned via the digital system or verbal communication
- Assist other tradespeople and skilled technicians with various work-related tasks
- Execute painting tasks as needed
- Assist with office moves and furniture relocation
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the Facilities Department
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of general maintenance experience
- Familiarity with the safe use of common hand and power tools
- Valid NYS driver license
- Ability to lift 80+ pounds routinely and perform prolonged physical labor
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends for emergencies or special events
- Strong organizational and communication skills
