Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring issues
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Support continuous improvement projects and TPM/5S initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and calibration documentation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations including PUWER and LOLER
• Manage spare parts inventory and technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible, proactive, and solution-focused approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CNC, automated manufacturing equipment, Punch, or Press Brake machinery
• Knowledge of TPM, PPM systems, and CMMS software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
