Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, improve, and repair mechanical and electrical plant, equipment, and building installations.
• Respond to technical issues and attend breakdowns to identify faults and minimize production downtime.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and assist in the development of PPM schedules.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Comply with Permit to Work arrangements and adhere to all site policies and engineering standards.
• Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and safety concerns to management.
• Work in conjunction with operational management and assist visiting specialist engineers or contractors.

Requirements

• Time-served professional with a four- or five-year nationally recognised/approved apprenticeship.
• Expertise in either mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Ability to work under general supervision and manage tasks based on criticality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Compex training.
• Experience working within a COMAH environment.
