About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and associated systems
  • Respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, elevator entrapment, sprinkler issues, and leaks
  • Execute minor repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Handle minor door and window hardware repairs, painting, and wall repairs
  • Maintain general building systems to ensure a safe and functional campus environment

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing minor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and general building maintenance skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insurable by the University
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work with diverse personalities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience monitoring Metasys HVAC control systems
  • Refrigerant recovery certification
  • Relevant trades-related certifications or documented training
