About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and associated systems
- Respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, elevator entrapment, sprinkler issues, and leaks
- Execute minor repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Handle minor door and window hardware repairs, painting, and wall repairs
- Maintain general building systems to ensure a safe and functional campus environment
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing minor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry work
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general building maintenance skills
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insurable by the University
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work with diverse personalities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience monitoring Metasys HVAC control systems
- Refrigerant recovery certification
- Relevant trades-related certifications or documented training
