Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to ensure continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment
• Perform daily preflights of production lines and complete all required daily paperwork
• Lubricate machinery, change drive belts, timing belts, filters, and oils
• Identify and replace bearings, seals, and other mechanical components to prevent downtime
• Maintain refrigeration compressor and pump oils, and inspect HVAC units
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on lift trucks and other plant equipment
• Utilize welding equipment (stick welder) on various metals
• Read and interpret PID drawings to assist in repairs and maintenance
• Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and HACCP support programs

Requirements

• 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Ability to use basic gauges and measuring tools
• Ability to read PID drawings
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, boom lift, and scissor lift
• Ability to pass respiratory function and fit tests
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for an 8-hour shift
