Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to ensure continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment
• Perform daily preflight inspections of production lines and complete all required daily paperwork
• Lubricate machinery, change drive belts, and replace filters and oils in plant equipment
• Identify and resolve mechanical problems, including replacing bearings and seals
• Maintain refrigeration compressor and pump oils and inspect HVAC units
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on lift trucks
• Utilize welding equipment (stick welder) on various metals
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and HACCP support programs

Requirements

• 1-3 years of prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Ability to read PID drawings
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, boom lift, and scissor lift
• Ability to pass a respiratory function and fit test
• Ability to move 75 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more
