Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair mechanical and electrical equipment and perform troubleshooting
• Wire 480-volt 3PH circuits and 220/120-volt circuits in accordance with the National Electric Code
• Use measuring and testing equipment including multimeters, ammeters, micrometers, and calipers
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine job requirements and procedures
• Perform metal fabrication using ARC and MIG welding and acetylene torches
• Operate machine shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes, and drill presses
• Install steel piping and conduit using threading machines and pipe benders
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry and medium pressure steam boilers
• Observe all safety rules, regulations, and housekeeping practices

Requirements

• 2-5 years of recent industrial maintenance experience, or completion of a two-year industrial maintenance training program with 1-2 years of experience
• Ability to wire 480-volt 3PH circuits
• Proficiency in ARC and MIG welding
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Must own personal hand tools and a tool cabinet
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
