About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures, recommend corrective actions, and carry out repairs to restore operational status
  • Identify necessary materials, obtain pricing, and complete purchase orders for required parts
  • Interface with operations personnel and outside contractors regarding work orders
  • Adhere to all facility safety programs and complete all required training

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Mathematical and reasoning skills to compute complex measurements and comprehend detailed instructions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to be medically approved for respirator use
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of maintenance experience in a processing or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of 480-volt 3 Phase power
  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical diagrams
  • Experience with electric motor control troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in repairing and troubleshooting mechanical systems
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and a cutting torch
  • Knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools
