About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures, recommend corrective actions, and carry out repairs to restore operational status
  • Identify necessary materials, obtain pricing, and complete purchase orders for approval
  • Interface with operations personnel and outside contractors regarding work orders
  • Adhere to all facility safety programs and complete all required training

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills for complex measurements and detailed instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and ladder logic
  • Knowledge of 480-volt 3 Phase power and electric motor control troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including welding equipment and cutting torches
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be medically approved for respirator use
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of maintenance experience in a processing or manufacturing environment
