Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues during breakdown calls
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including mixers, wrappers, and robotic systems
• Execute minor repairs, equipment setup, changeovers, overhauls, and fabrication
• Assist outside contractors and ensure adherence to GMP policies
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety compliance
• Record work performed, data for analysis, and spare parts consumption
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or Electrician
• Certified NOC 7311, Red Seal Millwright, or Provincial Electrician Ticket (433A, 442A, 309D)
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Proficiency with power transmission, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Experience with welding, brazing, and soldering
• Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill presses
• Flexibility to work afternoons, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vertical/horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, and tunnel ovens
• Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and Allen Bradley controls
• Rigging and hoisting experience
