Maintenance Technician, Pharmaceutical Compounding

Responsibilities

• Provide predictive and preventive maintenance for lab equipment including tablet presses, blenders, mills, and hoods
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, and HVAC systems
• Perform equipment calibration and testing to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Document technical data, maintenance charts, and calibration records accurately
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtime
• Identify facility issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks and improve process efficiency
• Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to maintain safety and health standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• 3+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a related field
• Proven ability to troubleshoot machinery without direct supervision
• Working knowledge of PLC systems and CMMS systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and utilize scissor or bucket lifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC trades
• 5+ years of maintenance experience specifically in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Advanced training in engineering or maintenance
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
