Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance including distribution panels, wiring, lighting, and generator (DG set) operation.
• Manage plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, pumps, and water treatment units.
• Execute carpentry and minor civil repairs such as furniture maintenance, door/window repairs, and tiling.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance rounds (PPM) to ensure zero downtime in critical hospital areas like OT and ICU.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls and maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records.
• Coordinate with external vendors and AMC providers for specialized equipment servicing.

Requirements

• Mandatory ITI certificate in Electrician, Wireman, Plumber, or Carpenter trade.
• 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a hospital, hotel, or industrial facility.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and ability to read basic technical drawings.
• Physical fitness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency calls outside regular hours.
• Proficiency in Kannada is preferred; understanding of Hindi is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Multi-trade expertise (e.g., Electrician with basic Plumbing skills).
• Familiarity with hospital-specific systems like medical gas pipelines and UPS systems.
