Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly preventative maintenance and general repairs across all manufacturing plant areas
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery to minimize equipment downtime
• Assist in the upkeep of parts and supplies inventory and maintain a neat, orderly workspace
• Identify and eliminate safety hazards to ensure compliance with plant safety rules
• Participate in key projects including equipment installation, line re-design, and Kaizen improvements
• Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to meet cost standards and organizational goals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in machine repair, tool & die, or machinist areas
• 1-3 years of experience in mechanic troubleshooting
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to stand and walk for approximately 90% of the work shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Willingness to work the third shift and occasional overtime or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Related Technical Degree or trade school certification in Mechanical/Electronics
• Licensing in Electrical or Welding
• Journeyman Electrician status
• Experience with LEAN applications (5S, SMED) or TPM programs
