Maintenance Technician - Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify mechanical systems on manual and CNC equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and complete CILR activities to meet PM OEE targets
• Follow all safety standards including PPE, Emergency Plans, and EH&S policies while maintaining 5S standards
• Monitor for abnormalities in machine operation, product quality, and logistics, escalating issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records, prepare maintenance reports, and close work orders in a timely manner
• Work with supplier technical support to source, order, and schedule parts delivery
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoists, boom lifts, and scissor lifts as needed

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman license, Interprovincial Red Seal, or a combination of education and related experience
• Ability to perform moderate physical effort, including continuously lifting or moving light weight material

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, operator manuals, and shop drawings
• Experience maintaining and refurbishing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Miyano, Haas, Mazak, or Fanuc machines
• Experience with PLC equipment and powder paint lines
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
