Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
• Maintain machine guards, interlocks, and other safety devices in good working condition
• Strictly follow established lockout/tagout procedures when servicing or repairing equipment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical motors, conveyors, and gearbox failures
• Interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams for troubleshooting
• Document maintenance activities and materials used accurately
• Perform equipment installations, modifications, and line set-ups
• Adjust sensors, valves, and control components
• Maintain automation and control systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance
• Fundamental knowledge of industrial mechanics and basic electricity
• Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic control systems
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Proficiency with mechanical measuring instruments
• Ability to diagnose and resolve automation-related issues
• Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments
• Ability to safely lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
