Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair process equipment, piping, rotating machinery, and structural steel.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on all processing equipment to ensure plant reliability.
• Lead mechanical scope for complex chemical process scale-up projects, including fabrication and installation.
• Fabricate and install welded and threaded piping systems using carbon steel and high-alloy materials.
• Align, repair, and rebuild complex rotating pumping and compressing equipment.
• Adhere to all plant Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security guidelines.
• Complete digital work orders, time sheets, and maintenance records in the SAP system.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom lifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read equipment drawings/specifications.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).
• Solid computer skills for managing digital work orders and training.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a chemical plant or knowledge of chemical hazards.
• Experience using SAP (S/4 HANA) or Microsoft Office suite.
• Related vocational or technical school certificates.
• Welding and fabrication experience and certifications.
