Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment, systems, and building components including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration
• Construct, repair, and apply paint finishes throughout the hotel premises
• Install and exchange lighting fixtures and bulbs
• Perform visual inspections and operational tests on machinery and equipment
• Identify and diagnose irregular sounds or operational discrepancies in machines
• Uphold the structural integrity of the establishment
• Assist in the delivery and setup of new equipment such as televisions, mattresses, and furniture
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely and personable manner

Requirements

• Previous experience as a hotel engineer or comparable maintenance experience in apartments or office buildings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable lifting objects up to 25-50 pounds
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours a day
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel experience
• 2+ years of guest service experience
• Certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
