Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnosis and repair of complex furnace system failures including electrical, thermocouple, and atmosphere control
• Manage the calibration program, including schedules, audits, and traceability
• Oversee compressed air system health and major overhauls
• Maintain hazardous waste compliance program in adherence to MassDEP and RCRA regulations
• Review and improve PM task lists in CMMS and validate work order quality
• Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting including VFDs, PLCs, and 3-phase systems up to 480V
• Provide formal on-the-job training and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II personnel
• Lead root cause investigations for recurring equipment failures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Expertise in industrial furnace systems and atmosphere control
• Advanced knowledge of compressed air systems
• Proficiency in CMMS and reading electrical schematics/P&IDs
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in varied industrial conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering technology or Industrial Maintenance
• Licensed Electrician or equivalent certification
• PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
• Experience in regulated environments (GMP, ISO, medical device)
• Knowledge of RCRA and MassDEP regulations
• Forklift, crane, or aerial lift certification
