Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and availability.
• Execute complex technical service and support duties, including troubleshooting, disassembling, reassembling, and replacing equipment.
• Inspect and verify maintenance clearances prior to work and monitor plant equipment by analyzing operating data.
• Assist with preventative maintenance procedures, spare parts inventory, and the requisitioning of supplies.
• Resolve complex technical issues and serve as a technical resource for other team members.
• Provide on-the-job skills training to others in complex technical areas.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in call-outs as required to maintain plant availability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, degree from a technical/vocational school, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of directly related experience, including work with hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste materials.
• Proven experience with industrial frame combustion turbine maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of physics and applied mathematics related to power plant systems (turbines, generators, pumps, motors, etc.).
• Proficiency in welding and/or the operation of machine tools such as lathes and mills.
• Valid state driver’s license.
