Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Provide predictive and preventive maintenance for pharmacy lab equipment, including tablet presses, blenders, mills, and hoods.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, and HVAC issues within the lab environment.
• Perform equipment calibration and testing to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Document technical data, maintenance charts, and calibration records accurately.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production downtime.
• Identify facility trends and develop remedial actions using a predictive maintenance approach.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to optimize processes and maintain safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• 3+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a related field.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot machinery without direct supervision.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems and CMMS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, climb ladders, and navigate stairs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or PLC trades.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience specifically within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• Advanced training in engineering or maintenance.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
