Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment including valves, motors, pumps, conveyors, mixers, and filling lines
• Repair and rebuild mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in collaboration with production personnel
• Use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and determine dimensional requirements
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories to ensure necessary stock is available
• Document all actions, irregularities, and maintenance needs within the CMMS work order system
• Adhere to strict safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and the use of proper PPE for chemical handling and confined space entry

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of OSHA safety practices
• Knowledge of multimeters and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
• Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and written/verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10-Hour certification
• Technical coursework or certifications
• Experience with confined space entries
• Entry-level exposure to electrical and mechanical systems
