About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment including valves, motors, pumps, conveyors, mixers, and filling lines
- Repair and rebuild mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in collaboration with production personnel
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and determine dimensional requirements
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories to ensure necessary stock is available
- Document all actions, irregularities, and maintenance needs within the CMMS work order system
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and the use of proper PPE for chemical handling and confined space entry
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of OSHA safety practices
- Knowledge of multimeters and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
- Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and written/verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10-Hour certification
- Technical coursework or certifications
- Experience with confined space entries
- Entry-level exposure to electrical and mechanical systems
