Maintenance Technician II - Food Production

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and complete preventive/predictive maintenance tasks on production and process utility equipment
• Diagnose and repair deficiencies in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Support company safety policies including OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, and FDA standards
• Use continuous improvement tools such as root cause analysis (RCA) to improve equipment reliability
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and technical procedures
• Accurately log work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track performance metrics
• Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities to improve material handling and safety

Requirements

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
• Proven experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to provide your own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools are provided by the company)
• Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in food processing maintenance
• Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies and procedures
• Formal training in electrical equipment repair, installation, and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD/VSD, and relay logic
• Experience with welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
