About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and building systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and other maintenance-related problems to ensure safe and effective operation
- Maintain and repair distribution center racking, conveyors, automation, case sealers, material handling equipment, and dock doors
- Manage maintenance tasks and work orders using computer systems such as CMMS and Google Sheets
- Conduct machine calibrations and regular facility inspections of safety features like fire extinguishers and emergency lighting
- Coordinate with external contractors for equipment troubleshooting and spare parts procurement
- Maintain department inventory, including spare parts, tools, and hardware
- Train new hires on machine operation and oversee Maintenance Associates on complex tasks
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Facilities Maintenance experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or service environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and walking for prolonged periods
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as required
