About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and building systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and other maintenance-related issues to ensure minimal downtime
- Maintain and repair distribution center racking, conveyors, automation, case sealers, and material handling equipment
- Manage maintenance tasks and work orders using computer systems such as CMMS or Google Sheets
- Conduct regular facility inspections of safety features including fire extinguishers, exits, and emergency lighting
- Coordinate with external contractors for equipment troubleshooting and spare parts procurement
- Train new hires on machine operation and oversee Maintenance Associates on complex tasks
- Maintain department inventory, including spare parts, tools, and hardware
Requirements
- Post-secondary Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Diploma (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum 2 years of Facilities Maintenance experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or service environment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and walking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
- Flexibility to work a 4-day work week (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM) and overtime as required
