About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs on plant machines, equipment, and structures
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and suggest improvements to maintenance processes
  • Set up and operate tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance tasks
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications
  • Operate within quality and safety standards and document work using CMMS
  • Assist in equipment installation and production start-ups under the direction of Engineering
  • Develop and update equipment maintenance SOPs for new production and facility/utility equipment
  • Coordinate with providers of contracted repairs for equipment, cleaning, security, and HVAC mechanical

Requirements

  • High school/trade school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good knowledge of methods, practices, and procedures in one or more craft areas
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment common to the trade
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic software
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to resolve maintenance issues
  • Must be licensed if required by law
