About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs on plant machines, equipment, and structures
- Conduct preventative maintenance and suggest improvements to maintenance processes
- Set up and operate tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance tasks
- Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Operate within quality and safety standards and document work using CMMS
- Assist in equipment installation and production start-ups under the direction of Engineering
- Develop and update equipment maintenance SOPs for new production and facility/utility equipment
- Coordinate with providers of contracted repairs for equipment, cleaning, security, and HVAC mechanical
Requirements
- High school/trade school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good knowledge of methods, practices, and procedures in one or more craft areas
- Proficiency with tools and equipment common to the trade
- Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic software
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment to resolve maintenance issues
- Must be licensed if required by law
