Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, civil, and general trade maintenance during the 3rd shift to ensure continuous plant operation
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and execute preventive maintenance tasks using the SAP maintenance module
• Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders and records of parts and tools
• Support general facility upkeep, including pumps, motors, boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, and packaging machinery
• Follow all safety and quality requirements, including ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMPs, and HACCP

Requirements

• Background or training in mechanical, electrical, or related technical fields
• Proven mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and repairing production equipment
• Ability to work independently during 3rd shift (night shift) hours
• Proficiency with hand tools and maintenance equipment such as benders, spanners, and cutters
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs, climb ladders, and wear required PPE/respiratory protection

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal technical education, certification, or state apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical field
• Experience performing maintenance in a food, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environment
• Prior experience using SAP or similar maintenance/plant-management systems
