Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on printing, bindery, or packaging equipment and facility systems
• Assist operators with minor maintenance issues to minimize downtime and maintain operating efficiency
• Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, audits, and maintenance best practices
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, calibrations, tests, and standard setting processes
• Assist with local engineering upgrades, projects, and facility maintenance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong mechanical reasoning skills and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Windows-based PC applications
• Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and hot work permit procedures
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, bending, and climbing ladders

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of mechanical and/or electronic coursework
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
