Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on printing, bindery, or packaging equipment and facility to minimize downtime
• Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures
• Assist operators with minor maintenance issues and replace broken or damaged items in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, calibrations, tests, and standard setting processes
• Review and interpret performance data to identify and implement improvement activities
• Assist with facility maintenance and support Level 2 and Level 3 technicians with complex repairs or plant upgrades

Requirements

• Strong mechanical reasoning skills and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
• Proficiency using Windows-based PC applications
• Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and hot work permit procedures
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) including rotating weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of mechanical and/or electronic coursework
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
